KORN: Upcoming Hits Album To Mark 10-Year Anniversary
September 24, 2004KORN's upcoming album, "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1", compiles highlights from the first 10 years of the band's recording career. Singer Jonathan Davis told Launch Radio Networks that when the group first started out, he never imagined they would last this long. "Well, I had no clue," he said. "I just know at the time that we were doing the band, I loved doing what I was doing, and I hoped it'd last forever. It's lasted 10 years, I'm happy. But we never had any idea it would get like this, you know."
In addition to KORN's biggest songs, "Greatest Hits" also includes two brand-new covers. The first is the band's current single, a remake of CAMEO's "Word Up", while the second is a medley of PINK FLOYD's "Another Brick In The Wall, Parts 1, 2, & 3".
Although there have been rumors that KORN's next release would be a collection of cover tunes, Davis said fans will have to wait a while longer for that. "Eventually one day we're gonna put out a cover album, 'cause we enjoy doing them so much," he said. "It's not anything hard to do. We just learn the songs, record them, and put it out. So that will come out some time after our next album."
KORN's "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" arrives on October 5.
